Do you ever see my bank login?
No. You sign in to your bank inside Plaid's secure window, and your login never reaches Monio. Monio can see your transactions and balances, but it can never move money.
Who is Plaid?
Plaid is the company that connects apps like Venmo and SoFi to bank accounts. You sign in to your bank through Plaid, so your password never reaches Monio. The Security page has more about Plaid.
How is my data protected?
Monio uses HTTPS, encrypts provider tokens before storing them, and checks who can read each financial record. Household members see only the accounts shared with them.
What does Monio cost, and is there a trial?
Every new account gets a 7-day free trial with no credit card. After that, Monio Pro is $7.99 a month or $80 a year, billed through Stripe. A household seat for a partner is $5 a month.
How is Monio different from a budgeting app?
Most apps add up every charge. Monio works out what each transaction means: card payments and transfers between your accounts are left out, and money friends pay you back reduces the original expense instead of counting as income.
How much history does Monio import?
Monio asks for up to 24 months of transactions when you connect an account. How far back it goes depends on what your bank shares with Plaid.
Can I cancel or delete my account?
Yes. Cancel anytime in Settings and keep access until the end of the period you paid for. You can also export your data or delete your account from Settings. See the Privacy Policy for retention details.
