Updates

What's new in Monio.

A running log of what changed, newest first.

  1. Paybacks matched to the purchase

When a friend pays you back by Venmo, Zelle or PayPal, Monio now finds the purchase it was for, so that purchase counts only your share. Paybacks of $100 or more are always yours to confirm, and you can search your purchases to place one yourself. Splitwise bills with no category are placed by their description, and the month-end projection no longer comes out low after a slow start to the month.

  2. A new home, and money math rebuilt

Monio moved to trymonioai.com on its own infrastructure. The engine that decides what each transaction means was rebuilt: card payments and transfers are paired and left out, money friends pay back lowers the original expense, and anything Monio is unsure about goes into one short review list. Sign-in and billing checks were also tightened. Monio AI is now on by default: Monio tells you once before it is used, and you can turn it off any time in Settings.

  3. A calmer budget view and Monet

The monthly budget view was rebuilt to show the month at a glance. The AI assistant was renamed Monet, and type and spacing were made consistent across the dashboard.

  4. The Monio Score

The Monio Score sums up how well you manage your money in one number, with every point explained.

  5. Household view

Partners can share a household view while keeping their own accounts. When both of you pay for the same subscription, Monio points it out.
